  1. Field work Specimen sampling Species identification Voucher specimens of plants were collected and sent to the national herbarium of Botanical and Zoological Park Tsimbazaza in Antananarivo for identification. Species were classified into families according to the W3Tropicos data base using the Angiosperm Phylogeny Group II system (APG II, 2003).
