BRAHMS data reconciliation, data cleaning, publishing To ensure that the data to be transferred to GBIF portal has a high quality, the database manager has done weekly a double check of data quality from the database officers. The checked data were cleaned and standardised in a BRAHMS database. Data from TAN and Dr Maria Vorontsova’s research were compiled in the grass database. A checklist of the species which are endemic , alien and/or native are extracted from the book by Jean Bosser (1969) this project is co-funded by the European Union, GBIF and the Royal Botanic Gardens Kew Grasses of Madagascar The objectives of this project were to digitize all Madagascar and surrounding islands grass specimens from Paris herbarium, making the updated identification of these specimens from Paris and also from the data of TAN herbarium and doing the georeferencing of specimens which are not yet have any coordinates information. Around 14000 data entries with high quality are published on GBIF portal with one checklist of the Madagascar grasses by using the data from Bosser researches. These data are published via the MadBIF IPT and an atlas of Madagascar grasses will be provided.
